Saber: *She is walking down the forest, a mercenary. But Saber was not a normal mercenary. No, she did not fight for money, nor was she hired for it. Most people didn't even higher her, so it wouldn't be false to call her a wandering swords-woman. What she was paid in was food and self-satisfaction. What she fought for was justice and order. And so it was this righteous girl approached the front door of the cabin. Even though she was familiar with magic, the sight of such a plain building made her blink twice. Still, this was where the 'hotel' is supposed to be. So, to the person by the door she knelt, sword being unsheathed and stabbed into the ground.*

"Greetings. I am a mercenary inclined to help out your situation. However, I require only food and lodging for my work. I will work to make sure this place follows the laws of justice, and that everything is kept right and admirable inside this place. I will only leave once I see my job is done."

Kieran: *He stares at her for a moment, a tad bewildered* "You... want to work here?" *He ponders this for a moment before smiling* "Cool. You can head right on in inside and talk to Jade!"

Saber: "Very well then. I'm glad you've accepted."
*Closing her eyes momentarily, she gets up, sheathes her sword, then reopens her vision.*
"Will you lead me to him?"
*Saber gives Kieran a polite nod.*

Pit: *finally arrives at the house, still following behind Vaati*
Uh...is this the place? A log cabin?

Vaati: Hell if I know. Certainly didn't sound like a log cabin to begin with...maybe it's bigger on the inside.

Kieran: *His eyes move to the two emerging from the forest* "Huh..." *He blinks, turning back to Saber* "Well, I-" *He clears his throat, giving a slight bow* "Madam, under any other circumstances, I would, but I must see to all new arrivals. A guy named Ike should still be in the lobby. You should talk to him."

Mizuti: Oh! Nonononono, of course not! Absurd! Preposterous!

You see, The Great Mizuti was meant to come with a friend. You see, he be hired to come here to maintain security. Keep everything safe. We meant to come together, but he be forced to tend to matters elsewhere for now. He insisted that The Great Mizuti go on ahead and inform you of these matters, you see.

Saber:"Very well then. Thank you for your help."
*Saber attempts a firm handshake then moves into the house, a bit bewildered at the sudden expanse. She looks around cautiously, a bit on edge.*
"Excuse me, is there an Ike here? I need help to find Jade."

Pit: Bigger on the inside...? I don't think that's, like, physically possible. Hm? *turns towards Kieran, acknowledging him as apparently related to the cabin*

Oh. *pats Vaati on the back and moves towards Kieran* S'go.

Ike: "So... wait. Who's this friend of yours?" *He looks toward the front door when Saber enters. He sighs inwardly* "I'm Ike. But who are you?"

Mizuti: Of course, of course. His name be Lyude. He should be arriving... actually, not even The Great Mizuti knows when he be arriving. Unsure. In the dark. Nary a clue.

Saber:"You may call me Saber. I am a mercenary who has journeyed here to keep peace and order in this place. All that I request in return is food and lodging."
*She stares right at him as she speaks. Saber seemed afraid of nothing. The other person (Mizuti) didn't seem to be part of her business, so she gave a curtly nod and that was it.*

Ike: "Uhh..." *He holds up one finger, to both of them* "One second." *He presses a button on his watch, holding it up to his mouth afterward* "Umm, Mr. uh... Jade, sir?" *He pauses* "Oh, right, I figured you'd know. Well... okay then."

*He shakes his head and points at Mizuti* "Your room has already been arranged. You're a special guest of one of our staff. New staff." *He shifts toward Saber* "As for you, I will take you to Jade. So... both of you follow me." *He sets off, first showing Mizuti to their room, then proceeding to take Saber into an elevator*

"You'll be seeing Jade in just a moment."

Vaati: If there's one thing I've learned, you don't let logic get in the way of anything. Random shit will always happen, no matter what you end up doing. Let's get a move on.

*looks at Kieran with a smirk* How's it going, mortal? Ever-so-competent security...

Ike: *The elevator stops and the doors open* "Just wait here." *He leaves with the elevator, leaving Saber in a comfy reception. After a few moments, a door opens, beckoning her forth*

Jade: *Sitting at a rather large desk. Behind him is a large window, showing a beautiful view of the ocean. How the windows work in this place is yet another mystery* "So, Saber, was it?" *A new bodyguard stands beside Jade, not saying a word*

Saber: "Yes. I am here to maintain order and support justice while I'm here."
*Saber studies the man. 'Justice and order' would sometimes not be the view how the leaders sought it. After all, leaders were corrupt sometimes.*

"I plan to patrol the place and restrain any troublemakers. I will supervise those of ill deeds and make sure everything is lawful."

Jade: "Hmm. You could be handy! You may 'patrol', but as one of my employees. I get the final say on everything."

Saber: *She opens her eyes, glaring at him.*
"Unfortunately I can't follow only your view of right, or what you view to be orderly. I hold my own view of justice and I will work hard so this place follows it. I will consider your advice should you choose to give it, but the final say in my actions are governed solely by myself. "
*The glare is full of pride, the pride of a warrior and a crusader.*

Vaati: Ah, it's nothing. You just seem like you're doing a rather fine job at what you were doing, thus the competency comment...it wasn't derogatory or making reference to your attentiveness as a security official at all. In any case, are you going to let us in?

Kieran: "Sure. Well..." *He walks down the front steps* "No, not just everyone can walk inside. Do you have a reservation?" *He looks from Vaati to Pit, a slight frown forming on his face*

Jade: *He's smiling, still, but his voice is devoid of humor* "I see. Well, I assure you that I only want a stress-free environment for my guests. Even with the promise of reversing death, not everyone is here to fight." *He leans back in his chair* "I will still hire you, just know that if an employee of mine wishes to do something that I deem disorderly, I have plenty at my disposal to punish them."

Saber: *A lot of tension was probably in the air. Saber didn't trust this man, and it wasn't so unlikely that he didn't trust her either.*
"That should be acceptable enough. Will you show me to a room, or shall I find my own?"

Vaati: I would assume so, since I was just in there myself not too long ago. ..Albeit, I was a bit stuck. Can't explore the place with no feet and all. ...Swords don't have feet, you know, just throwing that out there.

Kieran: "You don't know...?" *He turns back to the cabin* "It's much more than a log cabin. It's a hotel. A huge hotel! It's infinitely bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside!" *He pauses at Vaati's words* "Right, well, just having been inside doesn't mean you have a reservation. I can show you inside, at least."

Jade: *He stares at her, not saying a word. After a few moments, he shakes his head* "Head back in the elevator. Ike will show you to a room."

You seem more than a bit distraught, if I may say...

Look at my fish-tank!

*She was holding a fish tank. A rather odd fish-tank. But it wasn't the tank that was odd, it was what was inside it. Technically they were fish but...*

You know, I call it a fish-tank for the irony.

*The liquid inside the tank was dark brown and somewhat thick, hard to see through. A person could, however, make out the square chunks of sushi laying on the bed of rocks at the bottom. Soy sauce. And sushi. In a fish tank.*

You can't really expect them to be lively though. They're dead. And wrapped in seaweed. And they don't even taste good anymore because of the saturation of soy sauce.
